Elijah

Kia ora, Ko Elijah Murrell-Manu tōku ingoa. I am 21 years old and recently finished my undergraduate study at Massey University. I am always down for a chat and laugh, especially while making new friends and connections. I can’t wait to meet you all and see what kind of space we can create for rangatahi Māori in the future. Hineari

Kia ora tātau.

Ko Hineari Te Whaiti tōku ingoa.
He uri tēnei nō Ngāti Kahungunu Ngāti Whātua anō hoki.
Hīkaka ana te ngākau ki te tūtaki i a koutou.

Hinemaia

Kia ora, ko Hinemaia tōku ingoa. He uri tēnei nō Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairarapa, ko Ngāi Tūmapūhia-a-Rangi te hapū. Short and sweet just like me.

Holroyd

Strengths include, but not limited to being Nans favourite.

Ngā Rangatira mō Āpōpō only happens once a year and it’s limited to a max of 40 rangatahi. Register now so you don’t miss out!

Pātai

Mō wai? Who can attend this event?
All rangatahi aged 16-24 years who whakapapa to Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua are welcome to attend! Our space is limited to 40 rangatahi, so you’ll need to get in early. Once we are full, we will have a waitlist, so get in touch if you miss out on registering.

Te utu? What does it cost?
It is 100% free of charge. We will supply all kai and resources for the event, you just bring yourself, your personal belongings and overnight gear… and a great attitude.

Ka pēhea taku haere? How will I get there?
We can help you with transport. Just let us know your situation and location when you register and we will be in touch with options.

He kai? What about food?
We will provide all kai (probably waay too much) for the weekend, you just tell us your dietary requirements when you register.

Me kōrero au i te reo Māori? Do I need to be a te reo Māori speaker?
Nope. This weekend is about learning at your own pace in a supportive environment. Whether you’re fluent or an absolute beginner, we’ve got you covered.

Ko wai atu? Who else is going?
Your Kahungunu whanaunga! You’ll get to meet rangatahi from all over the motu, along with our Rangatahi Komiti members, Trust kaimahi and volunteers. Everyone is Police vetted beforehand.

You will be welcomed into our whānau environment by our Rangatahi Komiti members, and we will look after you!
